March in Review

by Nicole

I can’t believe March is over. I’d say it was a pretty productive month, although I never feel like I can get everything I want done. Do you ever feel like that?!? There are so many quilts to make, yet so little time!

I did manage to get three quilts done.  Starburst was my first finish and perhaps my favorite. I thoroughly enjoyed making this liberated quilt and know that I will make another one soon.

I kept the improv theme going with this little mini, Stepping Stones. The color scheme really speaks to me with a freshness and serenity. I think I’ll use this color combo again at some point.

And my last finish was, “Bird Park.” This one is for my little girl. I’m thinking of hanging it in her room.

I also made a block for We Bee Modern Too. Heather chose “Boxed In” from the Modern Blocks book. She wanted a red, black, grey and white color scheme. Luckily those are some of my favorite colors so I had no problems finding fabric in my stash.

I'd say you did a great job of getting some beautiful quilts finished. I know exactly what you mean, though, with not getting everything done. I got a lot started in March but not a lot completed.

I love all your quilts. Diane is right…your quilts are stunning. I'm particularly drawn to Stepping Stones. How large is that quilt? I love the straight line quilting.
