Can I Finish Another Christmas Quilt in Time?

by Nicole

Would you believe that I’m starting another Christmas quilt?!?

Yes, it has occurred to me that Christmas is less than a week away, but I’ve got a lot of leftover fabric from my We Bee Modern Too quilt, which by the way is done and hanging out on grandma’s bed. I’ll show and share soon!

For this next quilt, I’m thinking simple and basic – a log cabin quilt, without any wonkiness. Hard to believe, I know!

Here are the blocks I’ve been auditioning.

Block 1
Block 2

Block 3

I decided to go with block 2. It’s smaller than block 1 and more subdued than block 3, which fits with the simple look I’m going for.

When I’m going to get this done with my day job and all the holiday prep still remaining?!? Not sure about that one, but I’m going to give it a go!

Ooh I like Block 2 best as well – nice choice! That should make for a lovely quilt! Best of luck with the mad rush before Christmas!

I love how ambitious you are! I'm sure being able to quilt it in four hours will help!

I too started a Christmas quilt today – but mine needs to be posted, so needs to be finished by Friday….. and I also work full time! I must be bokers, but sad events last month rather ate into my planned sewing time, and now I find myself a week from Christmas with a billion presents to make 🙂

I love the fussy cuts in a frame, can't wait to see the rest of the blocks.

Blocks 1 & 2 are my favorite! I started a Christmas quilt 2-3 weeks ago, but I haven't finished it. Love the fabrics you're using 🙂

Giving it a go is what I'm doing! Work hard all day, then home to work hard all evening on Christmas & sewing! Good luck, Nicole!

You know it will just be early for next year if it is not finished this year. It is going to be lovely.

Well, when you don't sleep, you can accomplish anything! Good luck, my fellow night-owl friend:)

I have to admit I like Block 3 best, but Block 2 will also make a beautiful quilt. Now I'm going to go off and start a Christmas quilt myself! (Dec. 19). Just finished one in 2 days. We can do it!
