Almost Finished

by Nicole

This weekend I was on a mission: finish the Anna Maria Horner flannel quilt!

I worked on it in small chunks of time here and there and finished the quilting. I blocked and trimmed the quilt. All that’s left is to bind it.

I found the perfect fabric for the binding at my LQS. It’s one of the Bear Essentials from P & B Textiles. I was thinking of using a solid for the binding, but once I saw this fabric, I knew it was the one.

Now to wrestle this huge quilt through my machine for binding. If you’re looking for me, you’ll know where to find me.

Rosemary B here:
Oh Nicole. This is beautiful. I just love bright happpy colors. I love this.
Simple happy and so beautiful. Well done.
I have been so busy here (and tired) with visits to my parents daily now that they are in the Erickson Community and adjusting so well. I come home and sew, however my progress is slow.
I am learning not to get discouraged and just rely on God's plans.
I love the fabrics in this quilt soooo much.

Hello! I love the colors and the idea of flannel for this quilt. I have a question. Are the binding and backing also flannel? This is so beautiful.

It's coming along beautifully… now I sort of want to make my own flannel quilt to snuggle under!
