Lucky Arches was born from a quilting challenge – to use bias tape to make a quilt. It was my first time using bias tape for something other than garment sewing or quilt binding. I learned a lot in the process and discovered a new-to-me technique. Lucky Arches was inspired by a cartoon-like sketch of clouds going every which way. I used the bias tape to create arches that mimicked the randomness of the clouds.
