An easy way to get sewing goodies and support a cause + A Giveaway!

by Nicole

Would you like to get sewing goodies, while supporting a worthwhile cause?

Allow me to introduce you to the Stash Builder Box!

The Stash Builder Box is a brand new quilting subscription box that just launched on April 16th. The monthly box is made up of fabric, patterns and lots of cute notions. For every box sold, 20% of the proceeds go toward making quilts for children in need.

Stash_Builder_Box

Amanda Kelly, the owner of Stash Builder Box, sent me a box of goodies to play with.

Stash_Builder_Box_inside

Inside the box, I found a beautifully packaged set of six fat-eighths (four prints and two solids), a printed quilt pattern, a printed quilt block pattern, and a drawstring bag with thread, pins, seam ripper, tape measure, a Stash Builder button, an offer for a free Chatbook, and a “Stitchers Gonna Stitch” pencil.

Stash_Builder_Box_notions

As soon as I got the box, I started playing with the fabrics. The prints are from the Fancy and Fabulous collection and the solids are Riley Blake Solids both by Riley Blake Designs.

Stash_Builder_Box_Fabrics

Using the pattern included in the box for a Greek Cross quilt block, along with peachy-pink solid from my stash, I stitched up this quilted pillow.

Stash_Builder_Box_Pillow

I love how the pillow turned out. Here’s a close up of the quilting.

Stash_Builder_Box_Pillow2

It was fun getting the Stash Builder Box and making this pillow. The pattern was easy to follow and the blocks came together quickly. I love the fabrics – modern and in a great color palette. And the notions are useful for both new and experienced quilters.

I love getting boxes of sewing goodness in the mail, don’t you? Would you like to win a free Stash Builder Box of your own? Amanda Kelly is sponsoring a free box to one lucky Mama Love Quilts reader.

You’ve got 4 chances to win:

  1. Leave me a comment answering this question: What would you make using the Stash Builder Box? (one entry)
  2. Follow my blog (via Bloglovin, Google Friend Connect, email, RSS, etc.) and let me know in a comment. If you’re already a follower, leave me a comment letting me know (one entry).
  3. Follow me on Instagram (@mamalovequilts) and leave me a comment letting me know. If you already follow me on Instagram, leave a comment letting me know (one entry).
  4. Like me (@mamalovequilts) on Facebook or follow me on Twitter or Ello and leave me a comment letting me know. If you have already liked me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter or Ello, let me know in a comment (one entry).

The giveaway will stay open until Sunday, 5/1 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. The giveaway is open to U.S. residents. I will let Random.org pick the winner.

As a bonus, Amanda is also offering a discount of $3 for your first box. Use the code: MAMALOVEQUILTS
