My mom is my best friend and to be honest I could never pick just one thing that she taught me..there is just too much! One lesson that has always stuck with me though is how everyone is different, and everyone has their own story and struggles, and to treat them accordingly. You never know when the person being rude really just needs someone to show them that they care. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

My Mom has given me so much great advice over the years. I think the one that stands out at the moment is: if you have a problem with someone there's a pretty good chance that they're just reflecting back to you something that you're doing. In other words most of the time you're the one with the problem (short coming etc).

Honestly, mom never talked much with me about anything. But I do remember…if it hadnt' been for her I dont' know that I would have learned how to add 9's! When I was what, 1st grade or so…she told me..what ever the other number is…take on from it and add it to the 9 to get 10 and the answer is the "teen" of what the other number is. 8+9…take 1 from 8 to make the 9 10 and you'd have 7 so answer is 17! Sounds silly now, but honestly…I still remember it and even taught my 2 grand daughters the trick!

For me, it's two advices. First regarding how I live my life: When you're absolutely convinced something is right for you, do and don't let other people's opinion deter you. Second one regarding parenting: When your baby takes a nap, drop everything you're doing and take a nap too. That one got me through the first three years of being a single mom. My mom was absolutely amazing and Mother's Day is one of the days I miss her the most.
