Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!

by Nicole

As you’ve probably heard already, the Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day is coming up on May 21.

I’m thinking about what I would like to give away.
I’ve got some ideas, but am curious about what you think would be a great giveaway prize.  What prize would make you say, “I’ve gotta have that!”?
Would it be:
    a) fabric? If so, which collection would make you swoon?
    b) a handmade item? If so, what?
    c) a tool? If so, which one?
    d) something else?
This inquiring mind wants to know!

Hmmm, that's a rather easy question for me. As a newbie quilter, I don't have much of a fabric stash or a notion/tool stash, for that matter.
I love reading your blog for your writing and ideas and pictures, the giveaways are just a bonus. So anything would pretty much make me say, "I gotta have that!"
Thanks for being such a wonderful you.

I am always excited about a fabric giveaway. Summersville is wonderful or a bundle of solids would be great, too. I especially love it when people offer some of their wonderful scraps as giveaways!

I love Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway days… can't wait!!

I second what Lisa said! I love reading your blog because I love the things you make. I don't 'gotta have' anything – thanks for always being inspirational.

Ditto what everyone else said.

Luckily while I had a full time job I bought whatever fabric I wanted and didn't have hardly any time to use it, so I have projects to keep me busy and not a huge stash, but one with enough to make bee blocks and such so I don't usually "need" more fabric, but fabric is always awesome anyway! 😀

Giveaways are a bonus and I'm sure we will all drool over whatever you decide on. 😀

I gotta say, having participated last time, that the fabric giveaways seemed to be the most popular! But really, giveaways no matter what a just so much fun and I'm sure that whatever you decide, you'll have many many entries!

I love a handmade giveaway. Do you have time to whip me up a bed quilt? 😉

I really love handmade giveaways! But, since I don't have much of a stash yet, pretty fabric or a careful selvage selection is fab too!

Fabric always makes my mouth water. I like anything from Timeless Treasures. One of my all time favorites is the Orange Crush line. But, fabric is always inspiring regardless of the line 🙂

I agree with what others said. I love seeing what you are doing and look forward to reading your blog. I don't need anything to come see you, but if you would really like to know, I'd cherish something you made. I love your work.

Ahh, giveaway day… Do i get a gold star for having made mine already? ;o)

I'd say handmade items or little gizmo-y tools float my boat :o)

A fabric give away featuring anything with dots or Chevron by Riley Blake would be awesome. But the thing I'd really like to win thi little gizmo featured in this post: http://mamalovequilts.blogspot.com/2012/01/easy-peasy-quilt-marking.html
I REALLY want one of those!

Fabric, tools, one of your pretty creations…

Any of the above works for me.

I participated last summer. It was fun. I got some new followers and some new commenters. So I am going to do it again this year.

I maintain a very small stash at all times so for me I would say fabric. I'm sure anything you gave away that was handmade would be gorgeous though so it's a tough call!

Fabric, I always love fabrics!

I love fabric, too – you never go wrong with the fabrics that are 'hot' or new at the moment. Who wouldn't want a Chevron or Pezzy FQ bundle, or FMF, you know? No quilter I know, lol. I really enjoy your blog, though – giveaway or no.

That is a hard question to answer. I would love to win a fat quarter bundle. I have drooled over many of them but have never won any or had the money to buy an entire bundle at one time. So if I had to choose a bundle, it would be one of Hoffman Batiks. I love to sew with batiks.

Wow what questions
1. Fabric is always great to win for people looking to build up their stash or who are on a fabric buying ban! I guess the newer modern lines are what everyone's after.
2. Handmade items make it more personal as it's something you can keep and have to look at. Small items like mini's, pincushions, pillow covers, mug rugs.
3. I see a lot of people who are after time saving rulers and such.

Hope that helps =D

I am always the most interested in the fabric!

I especially like it when experienced quilters put together a few pieces that go together particularly well, for example a few prints and solids in interesting and unusual colours. I don't buy a lot of fabrics myself, so I always enter the fabric giveaways.

Thanks for thinking about hosting a giveaway. I would truly be appreciative of whatever it was I won. My first choice would be something homemade 🙂
