DQS14 Color Wheel Finished!

by Nicole

My DQS14 quilt is finished! Hooray! Hooray!

DQS14_Color Wheel

This 20″ by 20″ quilt challenged me in many ways – from the design to the fabric selection. Can we say that rainbows are hard?!? Getting the colors to flow from one to the next is not easy!

But all for my partner, I did it!

I also included a bit of inspiration for her in the middle.

And wonders never cease…I even put on a label!

By the way, the labels are from Spoonflower. I’m guessing some of you may want to get some of these cute labels to add to your own quilts!

I’m coming in a week ahead of the mailing deadline, leaving me plenty of time to make something extra for my partner. Thanks to everyone who commented with suggestions on my last post. You all have great ideas! I’ll share soon on what I decided to include in the package with the quilt. For a sneak peek, check out my latest posts on Instagram!

Happy stitching to you!

I am so tempted to hijack the postal carrier.

I'm curious how you did the label. It looks machine sewn but not quilted. I'm guessing it was fibished by machine and hand stitched. Off to browse for an answer with the search bar. 🙂

Wow! your colour wheel looks really cool. It is very satisfying when we take on projects that challenge us. We learn so much from those experiences.
