Can you believe we are more than half way through this year?!?
July seems to have zipped past me. There were quite a few Children at Play in my sewing room this past month.
I finished up this little mini quilt and came very close to finishing up my larger quilt. I wanted to be able to show the larger quilt to you, but alas I’m still tidying up the threads. Hopefully, I will get them all nice and buried and the quilt ready for a photo shoot soon.
July was a great month for bee blocks. I got Pebble Beach done for We Bee Modern Too.
And I auditioned a few blocks for the August block. I ended up going with Stargazing in the bottom left of the photo. Already the blocks are starting to come in. I’m looking forward to putting them together – four months before Christmas!
All in all, July was a good month, although I wish I could have done more. Sigh. So much fabric, so little time…
Here comes August with lots of sewing to be done. I’m planning a quilt for my eldest. I realize it’s been a while since I made one for her. And then there’s that commissioned quilt that I’ll be working on and a few things here and there. I’m declaring that August will be a fabulous sewing month!
What are you looking forward to making in August?

I want to declare that August will be a good sewing month too! As usual, I love all your projects. I'm looking forward to your children at play reveal!
Your mini still makes me smile! Your blocks are also so happy!
Beautiful project, Nicole! I'm hoping to get a little more sewing done this month than last. We'll see…
Even though July was rainy it looks like you had a happy July !
oh I can't wait to see your stargazer take shape!! I'm looking forward to finishing up QWERTY II!
I love the mini at the top – it's making me want to do something similar. I'm really excited to see your Children at Play.
That mini is just too perfect! I'm going to be sad when you finish these quilts and we don't get to see pictures of them every week! That said, I'm really looking forward to seeing the full sized reveal!
Wow! Love all the movement in that mini quilt, and how the quilting adds to it.
I love that mini and can't wait to see the big one finished.
Great work for the month, hope you have a fab August sewing :o)
I love your mini, it is just so beautiful!
I'm looking forward to starting on my blocks for the 6×3 Bee. I'm in two hives this quarter!
The mini is soo cute! Loving that fabric…I really should have bought some! Great looking blocks, I'll be looking forward to seeing what you get up to this month! =D
I want to actually get all of my swaps done and in the mail before the end of the month. Might actually happen if we get daughter #1 moved to her new home this weekend and daughter #2 doesn't want to move in the next three weeks. They are moving into a bigger house because I am going to be grandma to another little cutie.
I am so in the mood for Christmas too.
