Weekend Sewing

by Nicole

Happy Friday to you all!

I’m happy the weekend is here. Weekends are when I squeeze in as much sewing as my household chores and kids’ social engagements will allow.

I’m plugging away on the I-spy quilt. Of course, I just couldn’t stay away from making a couple of teeny patches. These squares finish at 1 inch.

I’m mixing the blocks up. Each one will be different.

I’ve got 96 blocks done. Only 14 more to go!
In addition to working on these blocks, I’ve also been stitching up a few more samples for another Spoonflower workshop that I have in the works. Here’s a peek!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. You know what I’ll be doing!

Wonderful. Can you tell me where I buy some cute but funky charm packs for my own i-spy quilt?

NIcole…I have always seen the I Spy quilts with the large squares…yours are much smaller for the item to "spy",,,I like it! I have been saving for some time, but with the idea of the larger square, it has been harder to find good things to spy…but your way.. I think once I finish a few WIP's…I am going to start cutting smaller pieces to spy and get started on the quilt. Thanks for the idea! Cheri

Nicole.. I found you again with help from some friends.. I am starting my I Spy quilt next week and was looking for your blog about yours! I am not at all going to attempt squares as small as yours, but 2.5×2.5 (unfinished) have come to my stash and I was looking for a way to use them.. and thought of yours! I'll let you know how it goes!
