Meet Sparkle.
She’s my second entry in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival.
She made her appearance with Sunset in the Modern Patchwork Summer 2014 issue.
Unlike Sunset, Sparkle has lots of negative space, which meant lots of quilting was in order. I used my domestic machine to echo the pinwheels with 1/4″ lines. I kept echoing until the lines ran into each other.
I’m entering Sparkle in the Home Machine Quilted category. There are some pretty impressive quilts in this category! Go have a look!

I really like this. It's refreshing, calming and uplifting all at the same time. A very pleasant wall quilt.
Love this one and all that negative space!
Love the quilting on this. Very cool
well this one is also stunning! what can I say!!! I do love seeing it draped on that chair. congratulations again!
I think your quilting is just perfect for this design. The echoing makes wonderful patterns that complement the piecing so well.
Love it. So pretty. I love the simplicity. 🙂
although I know it was not "simple" to make.
Rosemary B here:
Nicole, I like this. I love light fabric for the back ground. Someone is buying all of the white kona here in my town, lol. Not me.
Well, this is beautiful. You make bright happy quilts.
I am working on a little thing for my mom and dad's morning caregiver (the only care giver right now)
She comes every week day to help mom in the shower, and just clean up a little.
it measures 35×42. I am thinking of using my walking foot and quilting it. I am scared to mess it up.
I will send you a photo later today. I would love some advice.
Your quilts are always cheerful. I like that too.
Happy Saturday
Very nice. Love the quilting!
This is a lovely quilt and your quilting is wonderful.
What a great quilt! Love the simplicity and lightness of the quilt.:)
Ah wow this is stunning!
This is lovely! So calm and fresh.
Wonderful Nicole. It's beautiful
Great quilting‼️
Your quilts are bright-n-cheery pieces of art.
Hugs
Brilliant way of quilting and the shape of the points if you look at it from further away give an illusion of it getting lighter towards the centre of the star so it looks like it actually sparkles!
It indeed "sparkles" and shines. I just took Jacquie Gering's class on walking foot techniques. She would be so proud of your work!!!
What a beautiful, calm quilt. The quilting is super stunning, too!
I really like the simplicity of this quilt. Beautiful!
Eeeek! Best straight line quilting EVER!!
Love this!
