A Finished Charity Quilt

by Nicole
One of the expectations for members of the Triangle Modern Quilt Guild is that each member will make a charity quilt at least once a year. That seems pretty reasonable to me, but I confess that I haven’t made a single one…until now.

Using a simple cross block, I put together this quilt with scraps from my Jagged Stars quilt
The most enjoyable part of making this quilt was the quilting. I quilted square spirals in each block. It was fast and easy, which means this may become one of my go-to quilting designs.

I have no idea who will get this quilt, but I hope that whoever the new owner is will find comfort snuggling beneath it.

This is so bold and textured. It's a quilt that could find favor with either a male or a female, young or old. Whoever receives it will definitely be showered with love.

It's beautiful, Nicole! We don't have that expectation in writing in our tiny guild, but we have done a charity pillowcase drive at one of our sew days. Excellent idea to bring up at our next meeting!
